• Avera Center for Public Policy - Coordinates efforts to influence state and federal legislation.
• Avera Clinical Pastoral Education - Provides nationally-certified CPE training at three levels: entry-level, specialized and supervisory.
• Avera Central Office - Services provided by staff include management and consultation, educational programs, employee benefit programs, insurance coverages, legal services, medical record coding and consultation, managed care contract consultation, marketing and public relations assistance and risk management. In addition, staff coordinates accreditation, benchmarking and many other activities across the system.
• Avera eICU CARE - State-of-the-art equipment provides patients an extra level of care in the intensive care unit, and many times that means helping to save lives.  Avera eICU CARE acts like an air traffic control room. From an operations center on the Avera McKennan Hospital campus in Sioux Falls, S.D., specially trained physicians, or intensivists, who specialize in caring for critically ill patients, and critical care nurses constantly monitor patient conditions at numerous Avera sites through several computers and powerful, real-time cameras.  Information such as patients' vital signs, medications, x-rays and test results are sent to the operations center via secure, high-speed data lines. Computers continuously analyze the information, helping the intensivists recognize changes in patient conditions. This allows for early intervention through coordination with on-site ICU physicians and nurses before significant problems arise.  View the Avera eICU CARE video >>
• Avera Health Foundation -Provides assistance with all aspects of charitable giving programs and funds management.
• Avera Health Plans - Offers an array of employer-sponsored health plans.
• Avera Home Health, Hospice and Palliative Care Services - A list of available services, including hospice care, home health care, palliative care services, home medical equipment and more.
• Avera Institutional Review Board (IRB) - The Avera IRB is responsible for reviewing, approving, modifying, rejecting and monitoring research involving human subjects.  The purpose of the Avera IRB is to assure, both in advance and by periodic review, that appropriate steps are taken to protect rights and welfare of humans participating as research subjects.
• Avera Laboratory Network  - Coordinates services provided from laboratories in Avera’s four regional South Dakota hospitals in Aberdeen, Mitchell, Sioux Falls and Yankton.
• Avera PACE - Provides group purchasing through an affiliation with Premier, biomedical engineering services and equipment maintenance and a locum tenens physician service. Anesthesia Labels, a company providing a labeling system for operating rooms, is part of Avera PACE.
• Avera Parish Nurse Center  - Facilitates communication among parish nurses throughout the region and provides consultation, educating and grant-writing assistance.
• Avera Rural Health Institute - Promotes rural health through consultation, community assessments, educational programs, grant-writing assistance and a variety of other programs.
• Avera Telehealth/Telemedicine Network – Enables patients to receive high quality specialty care from physicians and other health care providers at distant locations through the use of two-way videoconferencing technology, reducing the burden of travel for both the patient and the provider.  Educational opportunities are also available through the Network for health care professionals and the community.
• Avera Select - Offers Medicare supplement insurance.
