At Avera St. Luke’s, the care of children is something we take seriously. We have developed a comprehensive package of medical services specializing in the care of the young, such as our therapy services.

Physical Therapy

Avera St. Luke’s has 6 physical therapists who specialize in the rehabilitation and strengthening needs of the young child, including conditions such as delayed crawling or walking, autism, and torticollis. We offer services in local and regional schools, day care settings, SPURS, in the home, in our warm water therapy pool, as well as our main clinic at the Midland campus.

Occupational Therapy

We have 5 occupational therapists covering Aberdeen and the surrounding area who specialize in hand dexterity for life skills such as dressing, feeding, toy manipulation, and handwriting. Visual development is also addressed as a vital element for upper extremity success. Our newest program is the Interactive Metronome (IM), which enhances educational performance and rhythmic coordination.

Speech Therapy

We offer 5 speech-language pathologists who specialize in the evaluation and treatment of speech, language and feeding needs of the young child. Services are offered in homes, day care settings, and at our Midland campus.
