New and Expanded Same Day Surgery Center
Our new and expanded Surgery Center is finished! Our specially trained surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses provide quality care for patients in a personalized setting in 22 private, Same Day Surgery rooms where we provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Located on the first floor of the new southeast addition of Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, our Same Day Surgery Center has the safety and protective back-up of full hospital services.
Our registered nurses keep up-to-date in training, competencies, skills, and are Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
Tests & Procedures
- Cardiology: cardiac catheterization/angiogram, cardioversion, transesophogeal echo
- Gynecology: D&C
- Neck, Back, Brain and Nerves: laparoscopy, laser procedures
- Oncology: bone marrow biopsy
- Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery: mouth and jaw, including cosmetic surgery of the face
- Otolaryngology: ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery, laser procedures, sinus surgery
- Radiology: biopsy under CT scan
- General Surgery: vascular, thoracic, abdominal, biopsy, laparoscopic procedures, endoscopy
- Neurosurgery: spine, carpal tunnel surgery
- Ophthalmology: eye and eyelid, laser procedures
- Orthopedics: bone and joint surgery, carpal tunnel surgery
- Plastic Surgery: body contouring, breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, skin care
- Urology: surgery of the bladder and urinary system, including incontinence procedures, prostate surgery, vasectomy reversals
Same Day Surgery is located on Avera St. Luke’s main campus, 305 S State Street, Aberdeen, SD. We are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 605-622-5543.
