Avera St. Luke's Foundation Special Events

• Hospice Tree of Life remembrance ceremony is held each year in December at Avera St. Luke's Education Center in Aberdeen, to remember North Plains Hospice patients. This year's ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008. During the Tree of Life campaign, a donation of $25 or more buys an inscribed, handcrafted porcelain dove ornament in honor or memory of a loved one. Non-inscribed pewter dove ornaments are also available for $25. All proceeds benefit North Plains Hospice. For more information, call 605-622-5887.
• Our 15th annual Charity Golf Tournament was held June 13, 2008, at Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen. Proceeds help fund flu shots in the fall, as part of our community outreach. We raised $10,000 this year to go toward that program!
• Roses … Just Because. Thank you to everyone who sold or bought roses during the 2008 Roses… Just Because campaign to support Northern Plains Hospice/Palliative Care. We sold 1,488 dozen roses – our best year yet!
